Abstract

Marine pollution textbook
In accordance with Part XII of the United Nations Law of the Sea Convention (UNCLOS)United Nations Law of the Sea Convention (UNCLOS) and various other related international agreements, parties are obliged to prevent, reduce and control pollution of the marine environment. The responsibility to implement these agreements or other non-regulatory codes or standards rests primarily on national governments.
