Abstract
Overview Southern Cross University (SCU) offers a global Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program and as such, it is a requirement that it be able to deliver high quality research supervisor professional development to the supervisors of the doctoral candidates located at various overseas locations. Supervisor professional development is delivered to overseas doctoral supervisors in two different formats. The first is regular, six monthly face to face workshops with the local supervisors providing a personal face to face experience that is often seen as the traditional method of delivering professional development to research supervisors. The second is the availability of online professional development that may be undertaken either in a self paced way as a resource or in a moderated way as professional development. This chapter discusses the development and delivery of supervisor professional development to higher degree research (HDR) supervisors in Malaysia.
