Abstract

This chapter’s multimodal experiment unfolds fixed, traditional, humanist, qualitatively structured research into a post-interpretation in-act. Our intention has been to promote research that goes beyond seeking to fix cognitive rational understanding. Without the intention of mining the world for meaning or attempting to fully understand, can multimodal collaborations in research with life offer a researcher a chance for being and doing, not just attempting to – or locked into – coming to know? And what are the real-world possibilities for these kinds of care-full methodological planet/person partnerships? Here is one space, place and body-rich example of two researcher/educator/material/makers becoming with/in re-search writing processes that are multimodal in an ongoing way.
