Abstract
This chapter returns to the original themes as set out in the introduction. It does so by highlighting the impact of these areas of work which include (i) policy, curriculum and pedagogy, (ii) psychology of food and (iii) sociology of food. Food futures brings together key debates on how through food we can re-imagine a more inclusive society. Food futures in education and society is an area of scholarship and public service which we see continuing to thrive, whether this is through protest in published literature or from those involved in the food industry. For the purpose of future policy making on food, this collection highlights the impact and role of teachers and young people as key stakeholders in shaping food futures. Key areas include sustainability, education, social justice and inclusive practice which are all areas of key importance in ensuring and working towards an equitable society.
