Abstract
Lifestyle Medicine (LM) has a logic and a focus, but to date no recognized structure or pedagogy. Here we discuss (1) the knowledge, (2) the skills, (3) the tools, and (4) the procedures that help identify LM as distinct from conventional medicine to this point. These largely define the structure of the remainder of the book.
