Abstract
Inadequate sleep is an often underestimated determinant of ill health. Modern lifestyles can be in direct competition with sleep, suggesting a link with lifestyle choices. There is also an iterative link between sleep and a range of different lifestyle behaviors such as poor nutrition, inactivity, and use of small-screen technology. Sleep hygiene processes offer a range of lifestyle medicine techniques for ensuring healthy and adequate sleep.
