Abstract
This chapter examines the application of codesign on three academic library service design projects. It was found that codesign with library users can be effective in the development of new service ideas that are of high user value and original. To achieve this outcome, however, required the systematic selection and recruitment of users, team facilitation and leadership skills by designers, and an aligned codesign process that is less comprehensive than a typical service design process. The chapter concludes with a discussion of how libraries can effectively facilitate codesign activities.
