Abstract
This chapter shifts focus away from clinical applications of emotional intelligence (EI) and towards how practitioners can enhance their career experiences. This chapter critically explores career success and establishes the mechanisms that can best promote that success. We offer additional research findings from the study that was introduced in Chapter 3, where the focus was EI and clinical decision-making. In this chapter, the additional findings uncover the importance of EI, professional relationships, and career success. Developmental tips that enhance both EI and career success are also discussed.
