To facilitate the transition from one-to-one to group teaching, and in response to teachers' demands for support in group teaching pedagogy, I created and facilitated a two-day professional development program (PDP) for instrumental teaching staff. The questions underpinning the research project were:
(i) What were the outcomes of the PDP?
(ii) What challenges were encountered in the PDP?
(iii)What are the implications for PDPs and university music curricula?
This chapter reports on the facilitation of the PDP, its immediate outcomes, and responses to the research questions that emerged from the process.
