Abstract
Quality health care in rural and regional communities is dependent on having a knowledgeable, skilled and competent health workforce that works collaboratively. Barriers to implementing authentic pre-registration interprofessional education include geographical distance, limited facilities and course offerings. Cloud- based Microsoft and GigXR mixed reality technology allows students to join locally or remotely to interprofessional simulations using holographic scenarios. The aim of this study was to determine the impact of this technology on the preparation of ru ral and regional health students’ interprofessional practise skills.
