Abstract
Most women, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women (hereafter Aboriginal) woman, who give up smoking during pregnancy relapse to smoking postnatally. There is limited evidence on strategies that are helpful in staying smoke-free during and beyond pregnancy. This is the first study that explores primarily the strategies Aboriginal women applied for attaining and maintaining abstinence and the support they received.
